How your information is shared

Permissions the app requests

Each permission is requested only when the related feature is first used, and the app remains usable if you decline (the related feature is disabled).

Data retention and deletion

Your data is kept while your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data (profile, Medical ID, contacts, donation posts) directly in the app: Profile → Delete Account — deletion is immediate. Alternatively, email us at the address below and we will remove it within 30 days. You can also delete individual messages and donation posts inside the app at any time. See delete-account instructions.

Security

All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS). Access to stored data is restricted by server-side security rules so users can only read data intended for them (e.g. only a chat's two participants can read its messages).

Children

LifeLine is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and it will be removed.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
